About us

The Forklift Association was created in 2017 after feedback from companies which operate forklifts. There seemed to be gaps in their understanding of how best to operate safe and efficient forklifts. Some also had reservations about talking to forklift companies, and wanted some fresh independent thinking they could tap into without hiring an expert consultant.

The purpose of The Forklift Association is simple and two-fold:

  1. to get all people home safely after being on or around forklifts at your business
  2. to improve the efficiency of forklift operations

New members usually benefit most from an initial site visit by TFA. From this it is easier for them to identify which resources are most useful:

  • Health & Safety initiatives and records
  • Equipment management and improvement
  • Standard Operating Procedures
  • Staff engagement, retention and recruitment
  • Procurement planning and management
  • Materials Handling Equipment/Forklift strategy
  • Sustainability initiatives
